Michelle
Church
Michelle is an
accomplished artist, whose main focus of interest is contemporary
impressionistic landscape work in pastels. She is a generous loving spirit
and her home and her heart is always open to her friends and family. With
four children, it's a wonder that she gets anything done, and yet her work
has been displayed in numerous galleries (see list
below) and is held in many private collections.
Her pastels have
a soft breathy life to them. They are vibrant and soft, and at the same
time convey life - the life in the land around us. Her landscapes radiate
a feeling of comfort, and the impression of a softer gentler world just
outside the window.
Michelle's love
of the "earth mother" stems partly from her Blackfoot ancestry. Her
stone watercolors come
directly from an intuitive creative memory of native art-making practices.
She lived for several years in Oklahoma, and these small watercolors
reflect her love of the good red earth and the warm rich landscape of the
Oklahoma hills.
She is currently
working on several art projects and we look forward to exhibiting her
newest work as it becomes available. She does do commissions and can be
contacted
here. An experienced framer, Michelle has managed and operated several
frame shops here in Missouri, and also in Oklahoma. She is in charge of
the custom framing offered at Green Dolphin Studio. Her knowledge and her
experience are invaluable gifts and we are deeply appreciative of her
skills and creativity.
