About This Coloring Book

This coloring book is so much fun! It was designed in such a way that while each page is the same - the way you choose to color the individual  pages allows you to make an almost endless number of different pictures.  Take a look at some of the possibilities.

It's almost like a puzzle, and engages your thinking mind as well as your imagination, and makes a great group project.

One stumbling block to creative self expression is the fear of making a mistake. There are no mistakes. There is only trial and error, growth and expansion. We challenge you to color at least one of these pages in the most wildly ridiculous way you can think of. Try coloring one up side down. We encourage you to color inside the lines and to think outside the box.

If you come up with something that you love, we would be excited to see it. And if you come up with the “worst picture ever” we would love to see that one too. Giving oneself permission to do something that might turn out to be “inept, ugly, or stupid” often frees up the creative spirit to the point where something true and beautiful is allowed to emerge.

This coloring book page was given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade students. All students enjoyed the freedom to create a picture without any restrictions. At first the students were unsure of what to create but after a little encouragement they began to create beautiful pictures.
