A few comments about the painting by the artist: The actual painting has a lot more depth and the colors are more vivid than the image shown. It is really difficult to convey, in graphics compressed for the web, the vibrant life quality that shines through this particular piece. The paper is saturated with ink and the colors are deep, bright, and vivid. It was made with pigmented India inks on rice paper with wax as a resist. One of the really interesting aspects of this particular piece is that it looks really interesting on the "back" as well, and I had a little bit of trouble deciding which side I would present as the "front" and which side I would present as the "back".
